 Abstract:  The collection consists of UN reports from 1947-48, the end of the period of the British Mandate in Palestine. There are maps of the proposed Partition Plan and the boundaries of Jerusalem. There are also maps of the Middle East and Asia Minor delineated with Roman provinces. Also included is a 1948 poster from the Lohame Herut Yisrael (Lehi), a militant Zionist organization, advocating freedom from Arab terror.

 Abstract:  The Jewish Defense League (JDL), founded by Rabbi Meir Kahane in 1968, ultimately adopted the goal of combating manifestations of Jew-hatred regardless of scale, and often adopted violent means to achieve its goals. The collection consists primarily of photographs and clippings relating to JDL protests and other activities from 1969-1971. There is also a small amount of printed ephemera and correspondence.

 Abstract:  Digital collection of materials documenting the life and activities of Leon Charney, a lawyer, author, businessman and philanthropist who hosted a public affairs program on cable television for more than 20 years. Charney also served as an advisor to various government leaders, and as an expert in Middle East affairs, was called upon to function as a backdoor liaison during the negotiations between Israel and Egypt leading to the 1979 Peace Treaty signed by the two countries.

 Abstract:  Rabbi David Lifshitz (1907-1993) was chief rabbi of Suwalk, Poland before World War II and, following the Holocaust, taught at The Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) for nearly fifty years. The collection documents his involvement with Suwalki Holocaust survivors, his career at RIETS, his leadership position in organizations such as Agudath Harabanim and Ezras Torah and in numerous other issues in the Jewish and Israeli political, rabbinic and communal world. It contains correspondence, some writings and speeches, copies of various publications he collected, and a small amount of personal and family materials.
